Whereas invincible Having garnered some attention since originally premiering in 2021, Robert Kirkman’s adult animated superhero series has largely flown under the radar despite overwhelmingly positive critic reviews. Boasting the vocal talents of JK Simmons, Sandra Oh, and Steven Yuen (beef), Invincible follows Mark (Yuen), the son of the most powerful superhero, Omni-Man (Simmons), as he embarks on a transformational path to harness his powers.
With the second season premiering this month, it’s the perfect time to watch and catch up on all eight episodes of Season 1. With a nearly perfect Rotten Tomatoes critics’ score, invincible Bold, bloody and subtle. Like Kirkman’s other works, especially the walking dead, this series is not for the faint of heart. But if you like shows that go over the top when it comes to gore, provocation, and grit, invincible fits the bill.
