Now, it’s time to share three reasons why you should watch The Kill Team On Netflix.
Alexander Skarsgård gives his best performance
HBO fans won’t be surprised to hear that Alexander Skarsgård stars in a stellar performance The Kill Team After seeing his starring role true Blood And inheritance, But even when he played vampire Eric Northman, Skarsgård wasn’t as intimidating as he is here as Deeks.
Deeks is not the kind of guy who needs to puff his chest out and shout to get his men to agree. It took surprisingly little time for Deeks to convince most of his team that killing random civilians is not only an acceptable thing to do, but it’s also the right thing to do. Human life has no value to Deeks, and even the mission in Afghanistan doesn’t mean much to him. He simply wants or needs an excuse to kill those he has deemed his enemies.
it’s a morality tale
Only one member of the squad, Andrew Briggman, actively refuses to go along with Deeks’ murderous plans, and he is openly horrified by the whole thing. From Brigman’s point of view, it is a completely terrifying experience as he knows that if he reports on the team’s murderous habits, the next body found in the desert could be his.
This is not a story that offers easy answers or any attractive solutions for Brigman. He simply wants to serve his country, but Brigman realizes too late that he has stepped into a symbolic minefield, and he may not be able to escape without betraying the people he worked with on Deeks’ team. Had served before joining.
battle of wills
Perhaps the most insidious thing about Deeks is that he is never satisfied until everyone in the unit, including Brigman, joins in on his endless slaughter. Deeks tries all kinds of psychological manipulation, and even threatens Briggman’s parents, William (Rob Morrow) and Laura Briggman (Anna Francolini).
Brigman’s willpower reaches its breaking point as he faces pressure from his unit and Deeks’ peers. You’ll have to wait until late in the film to see how it plays out, but the tension between the two leads is electric.
