Earlier this year, Verizon announced its new MyPlan package, an “a la carte” offering that lets customers pay only for the additional services they want, not the carrier that works best for them. Decides.

Now, Verizon is sweetening the pot with a new streaming bundle that will bundle Netflix and Max together into one $10-per-month add-on. This saves 40% compared to subscribing to both services separately.

Verizon has done a great job keeping its MyPlan benefits as simple and accessible as possible. Instead of trying to figure out multiple price points, each add-on is $10 per month on top of any myPlan package you choose.

The new Netflix and Max add-on falls into the same category, but there’s a small problem. Verizon officially bills it as “Netflix and Max (with ads)” — and that modifier applies to both services.

In other words, you’re getting the $6.99/month “with ads” tier of Netflix and the $9.99/month “with ads” tier of Max. It’s still a great deal at $10 per month – provided you’re willing to put up with ads. By comparison, the ad-free versions of both will set you back $31.48 per month if you subscribe to them directly.

“Customers want unique offers from top partners that provide them with the best services and experiences, and on the country’s most reliable networks,” Frank Boulben, chief revenue officer of Verizon’s Consumer Group, said in today’s press release. “With these only-or-Verizon deals and the first-of-its-kind bundled content offers you can get through MyPlan, there has never been a better time to be a Verizon customer.”

It’s worth noting that Verizon’s MyPlan benefits can be stacked so you can add the new Netflix and Max (with ads) on top of other services. For example, Verizon offers a Disney bundle for $10 per month that includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, and while the latter two are ad-supported tiers, Disney+ offers a premium, ad-free experience.

This means you can get access to the five most popular streaming services for just $20 per month. Or, if the Disney bundle isn’t your cup of tea, you can add an Apple One bundle that includes Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud storage, or take advantage of Verizon’s $10 +Play monthly credit bundle. It offers a $15 credit every month to spend on other streaming services like Paramount+, Xbox Game Pass, and more. You can also use those credits toward a Netflix or Max plan if you want to opt for the ad-free tier (though you can’t apply them against any other Verizon MyPlan bundle).

Other myPlan perks that are available — each at the same $10-per-month price — include an Apple Music Family subscription, a Walmart+ membership, a TravelPass for roaming, 2TB of Verizon cloud storage, and more.

Verizon’s new Netflix and Max bundle (with ads) will be available starting December 7th. It can be added to any MyPlan package from the affordable Unlimited Welcome, which starts at $30 per line per month for four lines and provides basic access. Verizon’s 5G nationwide network ranges from the top tier, $55-per-line-per-month Unlimited Ultimate, which gives you the fastest 5G Ultra Wideband and 60GB of mobile hotspot data.
